I used 1.9GTI rear spheres on the front of mine, ride is a little stiffer than normal 16v fronts.
The 16v rears OTOH need to be originals, the ones GSF sold me were generic "well it fits a BX..." spheres and under some enthusiastic cornering reduced my rear 205/50x15 tyres to 200/50-x15. Lucky I had ...
